Alice Vicentillo (b. 1999) is currently a student of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts majoring in 2D Painting in Singapore. She is familiar with art for more than 10 years. She has explored through painting, printmaking, and sculpting. Alice has experiences in displaying her works in different exhibitions in Cebu, Philippines. She had collaborated alongside other artists and have contributed with some of her works for MUGNA Exhibition 2018 at two local public malls in Cebu, Philippines. In the same year, Alice presented a tribute painting piece for Mother Mary at Cebu Archdiocesan Museum.
Currently in Singapore, Alice had collaborated with two food industries, SushiBakeSG and CookieFix. By using her digital art skills, Alice assisted them in promoting their baked goods across Singapore during the Pandemic lockdown in the Summer of 2020.
Alice continues to explore in the themes of exploring the unfamiliar from blank slates and give them roles as if she is a playwright. And at the same time, she also touches in the sentimental/emotional situations and bring awareness towards them.
STATEMENT
Alice investigates the unknown from blank slates and assigns them roles as if she were a playwright. At the same time, she brings to light sentimental/emotional issues that are frequently overlooked or ignored. She experiments with many materials to portray these topics, and in most instances will combine 2D paintings and 3D sculptures into a single concept.
